Easiest way to upload a .war file.

Anyone on here have any sites that use java for the backend?

Spent all day hacking away to get a new site of mine up to scratch, pretty happy with it (for now) and now just need to upload it. Have a digital ocean account already with a few sites on it (the smallest plan though!), so tempted to try use that again.

But anyone have any recommendations if you've a better alternative? The site is literally a war file and that's it, no database or whatever needed.

Basically, what's the nicest and easiest way to get this up and live?! I'm a bit out of the loop when it comes to hosting these types of sites right now.

Ideally want to be able to update it regularly without much hassle too.

It's been a long time since I've used it but Tomcat is probably still the best (only?) way to deploy your .war files on Linux. DO has lots of tutorials, looks like they cover Tomcat 7 and 8:
