eBay bin PayPal for sellers

I wondered if anyone here is a prolific seller and if this has affected them. I used to sell a fair bit on ebay but not for about a year now. 12.8% of the final amount is quite a hit really..

This has been rolled out since 2018 but is hitting the casual seller now. As ever it is confusing, because whilst being signed up, I still got paid through Paypal! 12.8% is steep, but remember that eBay were charging 10% with Paypal charging 3.2% plus 30p on top, so the majority, they should be better off. Never got to the bottom of how this impacted the relationship between eBay and Paypal, and how we got to this point.
