The above is what the winning bidder RSTEVEN a forum member posted yesterday.

why did they bid if they didnt want to buy?!

For now it is still for sale.

I asked earlier what the 'buy it now price' was but there was no reply - it could be handy having a price if you want to sell it.

What do you mean by ?

Well I am guessing if its not sold to the winning bid nor the second highest bidder then their bids were not legitimate winning bids.

Thus if the price is the 'ebay price' then it ought to be the third highest bid?

ie. the top real bid that someone was actually prepared to fork out the cash for.

Well...

The auction ended at £3300, so that would be 'around' that price. IMO that was a v.good price.

The second highest bid was at £3200 (I have contacted the bidder, still waiting for response - and they are a forum member)

Third highest bidder is £2250 - Can't sell it at that price. IMO it's got to be worth more than that, surely...

what you reckon?

Seeing as you asked, I would put it's value at low £xxx if you are lucky.

What on earth is really going on here and how many multiple identities are involved?

I'm Brian and so's my wife. We value it at between £500 and £1500 without traffic.

Please don't take the non completion of this domain as a slur on Interscope. As I said before I would fully recommend dealing with Interscope. Why don't you all give him a break and accept what I said above?

Your reasons for not completing the sale might be personal and completely innocent but it also looks highly suspicious and could be seen as nothing more than an attempt at shill bidding to push up the price that went wrong.

Just for clarity can you therefore please explain why you couldnt complete the sale when you only placed your bid 12 hours before the end of the auction and also how well you know the seller.

I don't know Interscope and was not involved in any shill bidding.

The reasons are personal and completely innocent so let's get over all the conspiracy theories...

Everyone always seems to take the negative view on these forums and it's generally unfair, so for once can't there be a bit of grace and courtesy?

I am not going to post on this again so save your keys...

These innocent reasons could have cost people money.

The difference between the two 'none interested' bidders and the next bid is £1000 .

If I was to have bid and won I could have paid £1200 or more over the 'real' auction price. This is something that concerned a few users during the auction, and in the end it seems they were proved right ie. they would have been bidding against people who would not follow through if they won.

As transactions are based online transparency is the major factor in building confidence and trust.

These consipiracy therioes seem to get ridiculous by the day...

Folks...It's quiet simple you are either going to buy or make an offer for the domain or not. Simple. Why spend so much of your time speculating what has now become such a boring subject. I mean do you guys get some kind kick posting such nonsensical comments?

Please give it a rest.

Interscope - things are not simple at all when you have so many failed transactions under your belt.

Incidentally, I notice that achieve.co.uk has still not transferred
