Are facebook about to announce there own search engine could be interesting times if they do. Google certainly needs some competition here in the UK.
Have noticed a facebook bot crawling some sites lately any thoughts

Facebook is a like a big tree that has died, it will take a long time for everyone to realise.

You mean 'short' the market. It's where you borrow the stocks, sell them immediately and have to return them back at a date in the future. Obviously you hope the price falls and you can buy them back cheaper.

Nothing like a search engine... in fact just a way to find even more useless friends (who may no longer be there in 6 months time!).

Although I can see where it's heading now i have reread the article - as if Yelp! is diving 7% it looks like they want to hijack other business models for themselves!

This is the first step on the road to competing with Google. There is no way they could launch a new product with the features of Google, so they are focusing on what they can do and do well which is within their limits of the data that FB already own.

Facebook.

Investors are looking for the share of the Google pie, putting pressure on FB. I think the market was a little disappointed as the share price fell nearlt 3% in FB.
