remember its nowhere near finished yet

Looks pretty good but just remember if you're UK based you need a phone number, postal address and email clearly stated.

It's UK law. Taken from Out Law website - http://www.out-law.com/page-7594

Information that must be on your website: an aide memoire
The following is the minimum information that must be on any company's website (from OUT-LAW's guide, The UK's E-commerce Regulations).

The name, geographic address and email address of the service provider. The name of the organisation with which the customer is contracting must be given. This might differ from the trading name. Any such difference should be explained – e.g. "XYZ.com is the trading name of XYZ Enterprises Limited."

It is not sufficient to include a 'contact us' form without also providing an email address and geographic address somewhere easily accessible on the site. A PO Box is unlikely to suffice as a geographic address; but a registered office address would. If the business is a company, the registered office address must be included.

If a company, the company's registration number should be given and, under the Companies Act, the place of registration should be stated (e.g. "XYZ Enterprises Limited is a company registered in England and Wales with company number 1234567")

If the business is a member of a trade or professional association, membership details, including any registration number, should be provided.

If the business has a VAT number, it should be stated – even if the website is not being used for e-commerce transactions.
Prices on the website must be clear and unambiguous. Also, state whether prices are inclusive of tax and delivery costs.

Finally, do not forget the Distance Selling Regulations which contain other information requirements for online businesses that sell to consumers (B2C, as opposed to B2B, sales). For details of these requirements, see our guide, The Distance Selling Regulations - An Overview.

Your a sole trader so you're still 'a company'.

A sole trader operates a business. That does not mean they are a company.

I also didn't know there was a legal requirement for a company to display a phone number on a website. Where did you get that from? My understanding is that customers should be able to contact a business in a "direct and effective manner" and that a contact form sufficed.

A director operates a business as a ltd company is a separate entity and in which case a director is not a company, however a sole trader is that persons own business.

Taken from the link provided to the website Out Law. It's a very good site but can be found on lots others too.

I think you don't understand the different between a business and a company. They are not the same thing.

And the link you gave doesn't mention phone numbers.

Please explain....

I assume what you're trying to say is that a company is limited by guarantee, Ltd co or PLC and a business being sole trader?

pberry4032 is correct guys
its all here

https://www.nibusinessinfo.co.uk/co...company-or-limited-liability-partnership-name

Displaying a sole trader or partnership business name
If you are a sole trader or partnership, your business name, your own name, or the partners' names and business address must be clearly displayed in most cases:

wherever you run your business and deal with customers or suppliers
on all business letters, orders, payments, invoices, receipts and other business documents
Displaying a name online
If your business has a website, you must display:

general information about your business - including business name, address, email address, VAT registration number (if applicable)
details of any relevant professional body that you belong to or any authorisation scheme to which your service is subject

A company is a legal entity. Not all businesses are companies. Laws that apply to companies do not apply to all businesses.
