Fasthosts state that you can transfer out (for free) a .uk only after 60 days from date of registration with them.

If I reg a domain with them, sell it next week and then initiate a nominet transfer (with the £12 being paid), am I correct in thinking that fasthosts can't in any way stop that transfer or restrict the domain in any way?

Seems a silly business practice to me.

On the plus side their £1 offer on .uk registrations at the moment is alright.

It makes you wonder who comes up with these odd company policies and why.

You can bypass this crappy fasthosts policy by bypassing fasthosts altogether and administer your domain/s through Nominet instead,
