After 8 years of using 123-reg, I think it is time to find another company to use for my .uk registrations.

I've got 800 plus domains and want to be able to do certain batch commands so that the same thing applies to all of them.

eg: I want to be able to change dns and rather than doing them one at a time which is how 123-reg does it, to do it in bigger batches or give it a list of names and get those changed.

So who offers this in the UK and at a similar price to 123-reg or will I have to look at paying more?

cheers

i must agree about changing the dns one at a time..really gets on my tits!!
but apart from that im very happy with 123, they always answer my questions fast and sort any problems i have

heart internet let you group domains together and do mass change.
I moved to them after getting the run around from 123-reg.
I think the owners of heart internet are the previous owners of 123-reg.

Advice stay with 123 , I was fed up with service last year and moved a lot of domains away to heartinternet , now going to start feeding back ,123 service has improved, website is easiest to navigate that I have found and big +++ unlike heart on domain expiry,if you happen to miss renewal , you have leeway to catch up, with being ill I have lost a few good domains while in and out hospital....zee

but 123-reg does not allow bulk control of domains so you have to make changes each time.

that's ok for a few, but when you have 100s, it is really poor they don't offer any bulk commands.

if everyone who uses 123 lets them know that we all need bulk commands to allow us to change dns etc, they may sort somthing out.
i will send them a message in a min because i think it is definatley needed.
no harm in trying:D

If you have 800+ domains and dont have your own Tag, then you are doing some wrong.

Can I ask why you dont?

well, never thought of getting a tag. don't i then have to pay for that and also don't i then need to have my own server for all of this.

but if there is a long term saving to be gained, then I am all ears!
