Would it be a reasonable presumption that any further sld's on the .uk tld would follow the ICANN ones:

Will we be seeing:
.travel.uk
.info.uk
.jobs.uk
.biz.uk
.com.uk
.mobi.uk
.xxx.uk
.mail.uk
.tel.uk
.post.uk

No it wouldn't, but then nobody really knows. We now have an independent process for choosing new SLDs that relies on someone applying and spending a lot of money to show how relevant the SLD is. Given the poor showing of so many new gTLDs I doubt they will follow the same pattern.

Even the new .me.uk etc did not really affect .co.uk .

I think strong - ie. .com / .co.uk / .de domains will always remain strong whatever new names are created.

.info's cant even be given away !!! ;)
