Not myself, but someone has been using a 'friend' to build and host her website. The friend registered a .com for her but under his own name. He has now also registered the .co.uk under his own name.

Could the .co.uk registration be seen as malicious and thus Nominet possibly hand it over?

What about the .com, do you think they would give a stuff?

The site is now being help to ransom so she has no access to her website or any domains.

Not without a DRS, no. And even then it sounds like something out of the normal scope because it's more of a contract dispute type situation rather than trademark infringement. So the courts might be the only avenue for the .co.uk.

And Nominet have nothing whatsoever to do with policing .com.

Thanks Edwin.

Sorry I worded that badly, I knew Nominet would only cover .co.uk.

Probably best to pay him off.
