It's not a list of tags signed up - it appears to be a list of tags under a membership which has signed up.
i.e. they're listing acquired tags which are no longer used and tags which wont be taking part

That makes no sense at all.

Given that nearly all of those companies (tags) were acquired by Godaddy...

They would have been setup as independent credit accounts (members) in the first place.

So I would at the very least expect a credit account for Paragon, 123-reg, Heart Internet , Domain Monster, Daily etc

I’ve never seen a tag get assigned to another member account on acquisition ?

Well if rumours are to be believed some domains have already been 'promised' to certain registrars in the drop. I don't think they'd need to go through the public scrutiny of openly multitagging

Thanks. Yes I did wonder if that was the case, maybe for "paperwork" sakes. I'm about to change mine sometimes soon, so I guess I'll find out how it goes. I have done it before when I first joined Nominet, they did make me apply for an additional tag and in the end moved all my domains over to the new tag but this was before I became a member and accredited registrar. Would you think they would still be able to move things over? Nothing will be changing aside from my Companies House data in this case, it would just be a rebrand.

If the entity is the same, and you can prove the associated change (i.e. the limited company number is the same, just change of name etc) then Nominet will be able to change the TAG for you. If you are changing entity, i.e. switching from a limited company to personal, even if you remain the name on the account, you will need a fresh membership with all associated costs.

The AUP or anti-avoidance clause only applies to using the DAC:

When you are registering names at 2PM with EPP requests at 150 requests per minute (without using the DAC)... there is currently nothing stopping a member having more than one credit account.

Laissez-Faire, Ben. It's the culture modelled by ICANN years ago, that allows slack oversight of protocols, and enables registries and big registrars huge free range to collaborate in their mutual enrichment: at least, that's what I believe.

Whois and the DAC are on the testbed

So if you check 5000 good names after 2pm you will see who got them
