hacking?

i have a dispute running on ebay and the guy who done the dirty on me has hacked into my ebay account and removed emails between the two parties,because in the dispute console he made a point of saying that he never received emails?which made me look for them and as i thought removed them all, he even removed the email which contained his address when i collected the car,does anybody know any course of action or know how to check this up?

If what you're saying is true, contact ebay. How do you know it was him that "hacked" you? Massive amount of effort, if at all possible.

Anyway ebay WILL have all records stored somewhere.

because ebay take emails into account when you are in the dispute console,he denies i contacted him and has deleted specific emails from my account not all of them to prove he is right.basically he says it took a month to contact him but i only left it a couple of days and he has removed the emails from the sent emails(the ones i sent him).what happened was i bought a car from this guy and he left some stp in the glovebox and i found it when i got home alarm bells rang,so i started having a good look over the car and noticed that one of the plugs was full of oil(valve stem seal)he put stp in it to stop the oil from passing the spark plug and wedged some paper in the breather pipe to hide the fact it was leaking oil into the air filter box.the guy has admitted to me and ebay that he put the stp in it to mask the problems.

If you believe this guy hacked your email account then ebay should have ip records that have accessed your account.

Agreed on that, login and IP's will be recorded but a dodgy car seller guessing or hacking your account? Seems unlikley to be honest but ebay is your next port of call. In the future you want to change your settings so when you send a mail in responce to a seller/buyer you send one to yourself as well, it's a pain but they are worth saving.
