Seen this today on Sky news, chop his d**k off, what a prick, hardly any men work in nurserys and some men probably don't because of the stigma attached to it and now this prick has tarnished the image of male nursery workers aswell as messing with babies.

How about we have a trial and establish guilt first, before we start chopping him to pieces

Here in holland we got a latvian guy who has been found guilty of abusing close to seventy kids age 1-4 and taping it.

He was working in a daycare center.

Can't think of any punishment which could hurt him enough, what a sicko.

Here is the only article I could find about it in English, the figure of victims has been raised to something close to 70 and the police is still researching his computers and harddrives.

They expect to even find more victims

If you torture criminals you're lowering civilised society to their level of barbarity. That said I think castration, along of course with very long prison sentences, is acceptable for convicted paedophiles.

The reason is the re-offending rate - even after psychological and pharmaceutical intervention - is so high for paedophiles and the danger to society so massive, for now I can't see any other way.

I think they have an illness, it can't be anything else really. They're not right in the head. We shouldn't be releasing them at all. Either put them down or lock them up forever...

He is accused of messing with many but only charged with 2 at the moment, they seized his computer and that's how they found out the 2 he messed with so seems obvious to me that he recorded it therefore guilty as can be so yes chop him to pieces

Historically, we are a far from civilised species. I am positive that if these scum were phyisically castrated and thrown in with the general population in prison, then that would be more of a deterent than a few 'soft' years.

Some of these paedophiles may have psychological problems, but explain that to the victims; I don't think they or their parents would care what problems they have. Like what others have said on this thread, consequences have to be severe to deter others from doing it in the future, otherwise, we will keep hearing these stories.

The centre hadn't been open long and 1 year ago they was given serious warning about the way they operate.

agree. but i would suggest chemical castration in the first instance, make them 'a' sexual and will not want or be able to reoffend
also they would never be released in my books, it would be a full life term
no cosy barracks with tvs and play stations
general pop/lifers

only snag would be if they got done over. would be good as would save on having to pay for slime but the family would sue
i would propose saying anyone who does heinous crimes such as these, and rape, murder etc. signs away their full rights. it would mean opting out of europe but we should do that anyway

i wouldn't be for blanket loss of rights as you couldn't have someone inside for non-payment of council tax, like that vicar they jailed recently and then get violently killed by some maniac and not expect heads to roll and compensation

another thing, all convicts should have to pay for their housing and legal costs. so they are asset stripped of everything to pay for it if necessary
. including belonging to spouses. sorry i know theres a knock on to families and their kids but it's the way it's got to be. why should everyone else have to pay

I am a parent also, and from the school of hard knocks like you also.

They will all go the way of Huntley with my suggestion. If anyone touched my kids, I'd either kill them sharpish or if they managed to escape my kids' own justice, they'd have a nice time in unsegregated prison. Mind you, I'd like to see anyone up against my eldest who is a potential nightmare enemy, but your best friend in real life.

you know the problem with the death penalty is if i'm honest i have at times in my life been for it, but never for long
problem is too late when you find out you've killed wrong person and also people would never admit to crimes if they knew they would be killed and would tie up the legal system in appeals for decades, like in america and cost millions being on death row
add to fact police frame people all time and get wrong person, so it is a complete minefield
dunno what answer is, but as they say prevention is better than cure
we need to figure out how to do both!
the last case of this, it was female workers doing it at a nursery! that shocked me to core

maybe an idea is to always have 2 responsible adults looking after children in schools and nurseries
after all they do it with bloody money! at customs or a bank, one person would not be allowed to walk off with say 10k and count it
i think lives are a priceless commodity

I think you misunderstood what I said. Some people think that paedophiles with psychological problems should get a lesser sentence than those without mental problems. What I was saying was that kids that have been victims of paedophiles will be so traumatised by their horrible experience that they won't care what mental problems the paedophiles have; the victims will want them locked away for good. In other words, mental health problems shouldn't be an excuse for a paedophile's actions.
