Hi all,

So I sold a name on Acorn that Sedo had rejected twice for a Great Domain auction, once after I complained to them and they emailed me back to let me know the domain is no good for a Great Domain auction. After that their system just auto refused any future application.

The new owner has just had the domain accepted into April's GD auction! WTF Sedo!?

I can't get a response via email from Sedo about this but I'd love to know how in the space of a month or so Sedo changed their mind! I actually let Sedo's judgement of the domain affect my own valuation when I knew all along it was a decent one so this is the last time I listen to Sedo!

Thanks,
Dave

Once you've had it refused then you cannot try again. I guess that the block is probably limited to your account rather than the actual domain in question.

Getting accepted for Sedo auctions has always been totally random. I have had domains refused on quality grounds that their own auto valuation tools values at £xx,xxx. I've also had domains accepted that with hindsight probably weren't worth the reg fee !
