Hi all

Great forum, very informative... but too late for some of the cr@ppy domains I've bought (got carried away with the euphoria of it all!!!)

I going to head over to some of the other areas to see what you guys and gals make of some of my purchases, but on a side note is the business of selling domains always enhanced by having a website or do the names sell just on their own merit?

I've looked at website packages such as Mr Site as I don't have any knowledge of html etc to make life easier. Are they worth the investment and are there any you would recommend?

Sorry for all the questions.... but as you can see I'm still excited

Nice to have you with us Steve. Personally I'm new to the domaining field as well, and i've bought my own share of domains which I regret

, but they all serve as a lesson, so I'm not that disappointed.

To answer your questions, generally having a website can increase the incentive for buyers to contact you. Plus, people want traffic, so if your site has a steady stream, it doesn't really matter what the name is, as long as its getting traffic. After all, I've seen a few purchases I've been scratching my head at, but then came to realize those purchases were based on the sites traffic.

As for making your life easier with HTML, I would suggest that you get into minisites such as Noomle.com or XSite pro. Both of them look to make your life easier as they offer you the basics and basically its a drag and drop experience which I think most people are looking for
