Hi im new here and quite new to understanding domains. One question, if a domain name you want is owned by another individual but is due for renewal, how can you register it?

If the domain is not renewed by the current owner it will drop x amount of days after the renewal date. Rather than make it extremely simple for you I will leave it to you to read the forum and find out what x equals

If the owner renews then there is no chance unless you ask them if they wish to sell it.

However if they do not renew the domain will be deleted after a set period of time.

Then it is free to register on a first come first serve basis. This can mean inside of a second to when it is has been deleted depending on the name.

x is usually 99 days, but can be 92 days or indeed any number of days. Welcome to acorn by the way.
