heya, my names Daniel, im 22, work in retail but have always been interested in computers and internet and stuff.

for the past few years i've been curious about buying and selling domains, owned a few but always been for personal use.

anyway, so i've found a few that are available (including 1 thats a single forename, not as common as most names but not too unique) that I think have potential and it's payday in a weeks time so thought now would be a good time to try my hand at this.

any tips would be appreciated

Don't fall in to the trap of thinking forenames sell well, they come up on here and elsewhere fairly often, and they tend not to sell well, unless they are very common Christian names.

Any Christian names worth good money were registered a long time ago.

Pay attention to what domains you buy, stay away from brand names and don't waste huge amounts on experiments. Good luck!

Definitely stay away from brand names, copyright/trademark names too. Some people make a quick buck on them but generally its going to end in tears.

I think most people end up holding one or two, but try and avoid them like the plague.

Avoid brand names. Ever thought of affiliate sites through developing some of your domain names. This can be lucrative for well built and optimised sites.
