Hi Everyone, I Finally Got Round To Joining a Forum

Hello Everyone

After spending countless hours lurking on the forum I thought I'd pop my head above the parapet and run the risk of self-humiliation with a few clearly uninformed posts!

I've been into domains for a while, turned on to it by following the selfmademinds site, which has sadly declined in the past few months.

Being honest though my attention span lets me down quite badly and I do seem to spend a lot of time hopping from one great idea to the next.

Here's to settling down in 2010 and finally making some money from domains and sites in general.

Thanks for the tip doodlebug.

One of my big problems is that when I'm searching for something for me online, I tend to get distracted along the lines of 'ooh I could make money from this'.

Very time consuming, and a little bit draining.

My best domain - best32inchlcdtv.co.uk - my 1st attempt and it was getting around 700 uniques a month (which I was pleased with).

Most disappointing result - hdlcd.org.uk - got to the first page of google and thought 'here comes the money' but only got about 10 visitors per month!!!

Like Doodlebug says. Get one idea and make it happen.

Make one domain/idea make hundreds per month before moving on and splitting your energies.

It's too easy to make money. Much harder to focus on the one site that will get you there.
