Ouch... glad I didn't spend big on some domains....

Hips - Guardian

Sounded such a good idea and it does beg the question how they got it so wrong.. it technically should have worked but as with most things was rushed and ill thought through at the outset...

At least whoever bought hips.co.uk can do surgery things with it :D

My bro just had one completed yesterday – he's rather gutted.

Pleased that they have been scrapped but annoyed for those who have had to pay £300 for what is now a worthless piece of paper.

EPC will still be needed, but still a couple of hundred quid down the drain - ouch!

got a few related ones in the portfolio... ah well, at least they were only reg fee!

There will be somethign that will replace this, just not called hips. As has been said EPCs are still required..

Lucky i sold my hip pack domain a few months back hehe

Bring on this De-Regulation, im fed up of writing 3 hour suitability reports and compliance for clients, when most people are only bothered about how much it costs per month and what the rate is!

Can't see them replacing hips with anything in the near future. Whole idea of HIPs was to speed up the house buying process, which will never work unless you change the whole system. They will be expanding EPCs though...

I should have taken the £100 I was offered for home-information-packs.co.uk back in September then! :(
