I'm curious how many web-connected gadgets you have at home?

My count is: 18 (I was quite surprised it was that high, which is what prompted this thread)

NOTE
- Please don't count infrastructure (modem, routers, powerline ethernet etc)
- Stuff that's networked but not online (e.g. a printer) also doesn't count
- I'm talking about your whole household, not just you personally

Im sure im missing something but cant think what it is, so 14 for me although probably less as they are not all connected 24 hours a day.

I included stuff that "could" connect, like Kindles and smartphones (they're not connected all the time)

21.

Actually took the effort to count and come up with a realistic figure :) Unlike some.......

It quickly adds up with multiple WeMo style devices and other devices that can be managed via IP. Well into double digits in total of Apple TV, Fire TV, Roku, ChromeCast, Sat>IP devices, some games consoles etc. There's definitely over 100 double sockets (both in view and out of view). It's quite a bit of walking between floors to do things otherwise, which would become tiresome. I won't bore with further details.

Get a wifi stairlift and make it 101.

My initial thought was about 8 or 9, but I keep thinking of more and more and I'm up to about 20 now.

I was slightly honoured that your above was your first post on this forum since July 2015. ;-)
I was waiting for that comment - not that you haven't sorely tempted me David, in the past few months. Actually, I lost interest after the handover but the place seems to be less gaseous now - more substance and direction.

Which ones did you get the philips ones?

Yeah..Philips Hue. It was actually an inspired gift from an Aunty. Although I have to admit I could count on one hand the amount of times Ive used them via the app. The one I would want to adjust the most is in the bedroom ;) ...and by the time I'm ready to dimmer that bad boy down my phone is switched off and in another room and it just aint worth it! A dimmer switch is better!

The one I bought a few years ago was a type of mood light it was £80 and came with a Philips remote, a little time before they changed to app only.

The actual Philips lights been working pretty much every day for about 8 years.

Are yours the lightbulbs you screw in or stand alone glass globe type one which is what I have, you can also add more of the same light and control them all by one remote.

I thought about upgrading so that I dont have to keep buying the pencil batteries as its eats them for fun, with the app there is no more buying batteries :)
