Approaching some local folk to help me write content.

What should I be paying them? It's basic rewriting stuff...

thanks

Hi Rob,

Do you use a company or an individual?

I currently pay £1 per 100 words but i am giving to much work and the writer cannot keep up so want to spread between two.

Thank you

Jon

The content writers I have used on average charge £40 - £50 per page, but if you want the content to be worded for seo purposes they can charge more.

If you require contact info let me know will be happy to pass on

How very coy Rob! :P

I would pay upwards of £100 per article if it was for a site that needed it, but our adsense sites just need vaguely relevant content and here it is quantity over quality.

If anyone has an article writer or company they can put us on to that charge £1 per 100 words please shout me, it will be bulk!

If you get an expert to write your content for example get an electrician to write your content its going to cost, rather than an english student to research (rape wiki) and produce.

So I think maybe worth specifying if you want rewritten, researched or expert.

Well to update, i'm paying people 1.5p per word for rewritten albeit they are knowedgeable and it's technical stuff. Working well.

If you pick a specialist writer or find one who is generally good across the board, you'll get much better results than asking an electrician (or whoever) to write it. Just because they know the subject doesn't mean they can write well!

Skinner and Blossom both make good points, for technical stuff having an expert write it is usually better but you still need to find an expert that is fairly competent at English, not always easy if you're looking for trade type articles.
