Sorry noobie question..

Using winxp/outlook ive created a pgp key with GnuPG and the key has been activated (gave nominet the footprint)

I created an email to [email protected] with subject MYTAG Domain Request

and then the domain request details in the body.

Then this is the bit Im doing wrong.. how do I sign it?

Ive tried pasting the PGP key after the domain details and also adding it as a signature in Outlook. But I get these errors returned..

The following error occurred while processing
your DNS auto delegation request:

V089 Multiple PGP blocks found - Possibly attachment used?

OR this error..

The following error occurred while processing
your DNS auto delegation request:

V046 Message not in Clear Text Signed Format

Cheers!

Cheers Rob,

I selected Format > Plain Text in outlook

But still getting the same error..

The following error occurred while processing
your DNS auto delegation request:

V046 Message not in Clear Text Signed Format

To sign it with GnuPG, just save the message you want to send to the Automaton to a file, e.g. email.txt and then run
gpg --clearsign email.txt
You'll then be asked to enter your passphrase, do that and provided you entered the correct passphrase, it'll save the signed version of the email in the same folder under the name of email.txt.asc - just open it up in notepad, copy it all to a plain-text email and fire it off to Nominet! :)

You can only sign the email once - so start over with a new email request.

I find the simplest way to sign is

HOLD: Ctrl + Shift + S

Once signed you can't change anything in the email body
