hi all,

so the domain businessfurniture.co.uk has a renewal date of 04-Apr-2007 which was 100 days ago - and yet it still shows on the whois as suspended?

I thought they dropped at 92 or 99 days?

I notice that ibook.co.uk is also sitting there on 100 days today.

Is this because of the pre-nom thing? I notice both domains were registered on the 04-Apr-1997

I'll get my head around these drop dates one day!

Any advice appreciated...

All the best,
Rich.

Just missed it's date. Possibly due to DAC reboot?

so does that mean its likely to drop today?

hi,
so is that likely to drop today at the 100 day point? or does it drop into the ether and need a manual intervention somewhere?

Best Regards,

Rich.

I notice that a whois on ibook.co.uk consistently takes longer to return a result that a 'normal' query so I think that there's something afoot with ibook.

There is at least one other due to drop yesterday (different Registrant), that didn't. I sense late renewals or some other issue with them.

It sucks when they don't drop - especially if you put a lot of effort and adrenalin into hoping they will ;)

I saw ibook but steered cleared. Does anyone think it's defendable? I realise Apple don't sell ibooks now, but still smells too black hat for my taste.

Just because apple don't sell them now doesn't mean they won't chase you for the name. They may well have a future use for it, and ibooks are still sold via apple authorised retailers who may have old stock.

Would make a great holiday / hotels site - I book ... :)

Don't do that! That way madless lies :)

Also... DAC reboot wouldn't affect domains dropping of course, and technically there aren't any pre-noms left in the sense you're referring to - they've all signed up to the T&Cs as far as I know.
