Image rating scripts/packages.

I'm looking to set up an image rating site. The usual type of thing: rate out of 10, comments etc.

There are quite a few scripts and off-the-shelf packages out there, ranging between free and $xxx in cost. I was wondering if any of you have used any before? Which are the best? Which should be avoided?

Any tips would be appreciated... wouldn't want to go shelling out hard-earned cash for a dud.
