Hi all
I'm pretty new to the domaining game and have 20+ plus domains registered with sedo but having absolutely no joy with them in regards to earning anything, I am currently spending time trying to optimse my keywords and page layouts to see if this will make any difference but was wondering if anyone has any recommendations for other parking sites. Any help would be welcome!!!

Hi Joe, welcome to Acorn,

Is Sedo any good? Have a read of the Sedo section for comments by users, see here:

Sedo

I suppose at the end of the day, it will come down to how good your domain names are for the type in traffic they do or don't get, I reckon from reading on here that that will be the decisive factor on what earnings you are making.

Parking pages are not websites, no matter what you do with them they will probably never rank well in search engines. Promoting the pages in any way is also against most parking companies terms and conditions.

If you're domains don't get natural type-in traffic they will never earn much by parking. You need to develop them into proper websites.

Develop simple websites on your domains and list them in Sedo as a website. Sold a few this way and i'm sure it helps.

Thanks for that, how easy is it to develop your own website, I've been thinking about doing this for some sites, are there any good easy to use software that can help me build a basic website, I have friends that are good at developing sites but I aint got a clue and its something I would like to learn

Your friends would be your best bet to learn from if they already dev. sites. I using (WinXP) dreamweaver for html and notepad for php scripts & while away from home nano on a pda.

The list goes on but the anal will say only notepad/vi/whatever. Its really down to how much you want to learn and style.
