I'm no expert on selling a domain for traffic alone, but is it worth anything.

The domain is a .com, but not a real word. The content is old and neglected. TV personality images (PG). However I just noticed that it has a fair bit of consistent traffic.

Is there any market?

As any sales person will say its all to do with numbers through the door.

I think it will depend on the name and Why the people are visiting your site.

Does it earn anything? Do you have adsense on it?

To have 800+ uniques a day one of them MUST click an Adsense Ad.

If you haven't got adsense on bang 3 ads up and see how well it converts. ;)

It doesn't earn anything, because it's never had any adverts. That's something I've never got in to. I just sell big volumes of names cheaply, as I haven't got any time to fiddle around with developing sites.

Almost all the traffic to this one is directly from Google (80%). So it will die off quickly if I just ditch it to PPC.

You'd find out if there was a market if you tried flogging the site at flippa.com.

If you put ads on related to what people are seaching for then with that volume should do well. I had a huge traffic name once but hardly made anything if the ads were not realated to the traffic (type ins). However to make them relevant would have no doubt resulted in a DRS.

If you don't infringe any trademarks etc and name is generic enough then should be worth while doing so long as you know the search terms

The best idea so far is to use the site to redirect traffic to others that already pay. However I haven't got any of those.
So most likely I'll just auction it off on the basis of high long term traffic.

It was only a started as a joke down the pub, when the domain name sounded hilarious. (No TM, typo or similar.)

Although the market has dropped a little its still big especially .com Quite a number of people only buy that type of domain if the volume is correct then should have no problem selling it …?

Decided to leave it to an expert to turn the traffic into money. So have put it up for sale.
Goes to the highest bidder tomorrow. (Thursday)
Auction here.
