Superb sale. I think I should price some of my brands a little higher.

Well fook me. If this isn't a joke then that is probably the greatest .co.uk sale I have ever seen in terms of domain quality to sold price. £245k for that is just incredible.

I'm curious how negotiation went, I get the feeling it was oh court, I just added a zero on the end, oh you lost, thats another 0.

Come to think of it, isn't it Jammie? They paid this much to protect a typo?!

The IPO database is down at the moment, did Burton's have "jammy dodger" trademarked too? If not, was the court battle on the basis of misrepresentation?

The TM for jammydodger has been dead since 2002. Tim is right, it is actually jammie dodger. They paid £245,000 to protect a typo.

So presumably their basis of court action was for misrepresentation of the name, but providing JMI wasn't actively promoting competing ads (which I'm not sure if DM does) then they had little chance of success. Amazing result. Would be interested to learn more.

it's a little strange to pay £245,000 for protecting a typo in fact no traffic result for both jammydodger.co.uk/jammidodger.co.uk in similarweb so why protect typo with no traffic at all

Maybe that includes legal costs if there was a court case involved too?
