So I get an email regarding one of my domain names.

The Domain name was first Reg'd in 1998 and has had a site on every year untill it expired and I got my hands on it!!

Anyway....

M8 - i was intrested in this item untill i saw you where totally lying about the domain being 10 years old - I work for a domain hosting and registration company and when i pulled this doamin up on our systems it sohws you had

I'd guess that he's a total nincompoop -- his typing is a dead giveaway plus his adrressing you as "M8" - he'd have had more than a mouthful back from me for such a daft email. Yeah - that guy really knows his 'whois' stuff
