Long time no domaining

Hi All, not been on here a long time and not been doing anything to do with domains or websites so totally out of the loop!

Can anyone sum up in a sentence or two for me how business is?
People still catching?
Any type of domains rocketing above others? seen a few LLL selling on here at decent price. I still own a couple of gooduns. not registered any .uk should i?

Anyone got any website success stories? although i'd guess your on your yatch and not on a domain forum.

I'm trying to think of something for the wife to do so contemplating setting up a site or 2 but no idea what to sell

In brief, uk domaining seems the same as ever, end-users few and far between but investors still scooping up domains, especially on domainlore. lll's seem to have picked up from low £xxx prices to low £xxxx for quality characters; EMD's seem to be seeing action again these days. Judging by tags, catching remains popular, but quality of domains dropping has reduced. The strong money seems to be with .com's, but the point of entry counts pretty much most out. As for registering .uk's, you have until 2019, personally I'd wait, and I much prefer buying .co.uk's with .uk rights (not registered). Welcome back.

mm sounds like no change then. Just saw my last post was from dec 2014 asking where the 2015 predictions thread was. You got a mention from invinvible in that.

domainlore prices don't seem to be anything to shout about? I don't think it's worth me dipping my toe again tbh. Might stick something affiliate together or update one of ym old sites. I've not touched them in years.

Well tbh, that was pretty much my initial entry point to uk domaining anyway, I'm sure the long-termers will have a completely different view than I. David posted that at a time I was having no success, but I re-evaluated and I've certainly done ok from domains since, but do wish I had been in from the early days as I'm sure I could have given the most prolific investors a run for their money
