Has anyone done this? I read about it ages ago but never did anything with it as didn't understand it enough but have now tried it and £246 up after just over a week. Easy money!
The bookie or casino never loses long term that's why you see lots of them around.just saying...
I think the opportunities narrow somewhat after you've used all the initial free bet offers.
So am I correct to say that you have to open accounts at multiple bookies? And that the profit per bet is very small?
Seems like a lot of work to me.
Interesting to promote though for affiliates as people open a lot of accounts which means ££££££ in commissions.
I thought you have to bet a certain amount or a certain number of times before you can withdraw the free bet money, especially if it's "completely free" rather than topping up your own money? But I've never looked at it closely.
The proper name for this is arbitrage, and it's perfectly possible to do it if you keep accounts at enough bookies and have a method of automating finding opportunities. Hell that's how currency investors work
I wrote a spider network to do this 10 or more years ago. It installed as a system tray app on as many computers as you wanted and alerted you when the network identified an opportunity.
Most arbs didn't last very long and don't earn very much (due to bet limits, etc.) - but the real frustration was how often the bookies changed their websites and broke my spider. I gave up trying to update it in the end
Your approach won't work because most bookies stop you withdrawing winnings from free bets. It's a marketing trick to hook you in and get you excited enough to open your wallet.
And if you're only winning a fiver, why bother.
The Bet365 open account offer is a pretty easy way to get started, they match your first deposit up to £200, I think you can quickly make £150 with the right matched bets.
