Caught the other day.

Just received a letter from a company regarding maxi.co.uk, so really wondering about value. I've emailed to see what price they were thinking of.

Any thoughts?

A crap old car from the 70's...

Either that or the size of a sanitary towel! I'd take a good £500 offer myself! (if that's what i could get out of them!)

I'm surprised you've forgotten your old pal Maxi, TinkyWinky. The famous Parkdean Holidays mascot.

As owned by Mr Fawlty I think.

I think its very brandable for something like a clothing store for "larger ladies". Its short and easy to remember and spell.

Maxi dresses are, apparently, all the rage as well (79k local exacts). Wouldn't surprise me if they were looking to build a brand around selling them. Should comfortably be a mid-high X,XXX name to the right person. Probably more.

could be cracking name for site selling maxi dresses... but fashions change quick

I went for this one as well. Agree that it should be worth £x,xxx upwards to someone

Even ignoring the maxi -dresses, its IMHO a very brandable word, perhaps an XXL-size clothes retailer

Was just about to say that, I've somehow heard about these dresses too :p

Does really depend on who the end user is as to how much there willing to pay would a firm limit themselves to just a certain style of clothing or try and create a brand without the com ? or go for the emd maxidress etc certainly has a potential value of xxxx

I’d say not to sell to quick and research any interested parties and contact all that you think the name would suit “ brand “ non natural product type words etc are always hard to price as there sort of non descript nature can make them dependant on products sold and buyers desire for name but the better ones are more versatile and price will reflect this?

If it were dress people then contacting the maxi dress com and co.uk owners etc may give you an indication of potential competition price which is always handy

Also found the sedo sale

and for skirts
http://www.bido.com/Auction?name=maxiskirts.com

then went for $3000 on sedo

would love max.co.uk , got the .org.uk but it's not quite the same is it lol

Good domain, but I wouldnt get carried away with the idea of maxi dresses, as a previous poster said - fashion comes and goes.

Tosh. Fashion may come and go however there will be a never ending queue of oversized people at the checkout of clothes stores.

Same as 30 yrs ago my GF at the time could not buy decent clothes that fit her because of her height now there's plenty of stores on & offline that cater for the niche. Ditto re Maxi.

Many thanks for the advice guys.
