so why dont sedo take further action? there is a contract in place for the buyer and the seller.

Yes, it should be Sedo that pursues this on behalf of the buyer in this case. After all, they're quick enough to take the commission and stipulate it's a 'legally binding contract' etc - which basically means nothing if they're unwilling/unable to actually enforce it.

Seems it's all bark and no teeth.

I've got a nasty feeling one of my recent Sedo sales isn't going to complete - I hope I'm wrong. If I'm not, I will expect them to enforce this contract on my behalf.

It depends on the T&Cs that you agree to when you agree to buying/selling on sedo. If I were sedo I would not want to get involved in enforcing other people's rights. Has the seller taken the money, or is that still with sedo?

it looks like sedo doesn't want anything to do with it, they are basically saying "if YOU want to pursue it" they'll giver you the contact details. Just about saying sort it yourself elsewhere.

the seller could respond and say they have the right to cancel within the 7 days statuatory cooling off period. I take it, that it wasn't within the 7 days cooling off period. Arh, get the guys details and pay him a visit, only kidding admin

Get the other parties information and make contact. I have had transactions in the past via Sedo where they have said the seller / buyer has gone awol and then they supply the info and minutes later the deal is back on without the Sedo fees.
