I'm looking to pick up a NAS drive asap,

Anyone got one? if so can you recommend one?

Was budgeting for £400 but Drobo FS has caught my eye and is a tad over budget.

Anyone using the Datarobotics Drobo FS?

Thanks

I have a QNAP TS209 II Turbo and am very pleased with it. Had it for a couple of years and not had a single problem with it.

They don't make that model anymore (unfortunately, because it looks awesome!) but there are alternatives that have just as many if not more features than you could ever need. Two or more drives and you can set up RAID. They have a built in print server and also DLNA (the main reson I opted for a QNAP as only a few years ago this was something very hard to come by).

I would recommend one, and a dual drive such as the TS219 would just fit your budget.

Rich

Thanks for feedback, I think what you get from QNAP seems to fit the bill. Not really heard of them so glad to get feedback about them.

Might look at getting the QNAP TS-419P Turbo :)

I normally use the readyNAS chassies: amazon
and fit what ever drives needed and usually go for a RAID set up.

HP Microserver (about £90 + VAT as there is a £100 cash back at the moment)

Windows Home Server OS - £75

Chuck some disks in...jobs a good 'un!
