Are there stories about whitelabels banning people to prevent recurring payouts?
Even if you did have your own software and high traffic site, how would you convince the first thousand or so to sign up, or return back to, an 'empty' site?
Then you'd have to deal with queries, questions, customer services, complaints etc....
Thanks for your reply, very interesting points and i understand what you mean clearly, it is a little worry.
Yes sadly it has been seen that they can ban you as easily as google adsense could ban people without further ado or talk about fixing any apparent issue. It is just too easy to be 'messed' over and be left with £0.00 out of the blue.
I am not saying i do anything bad to be banned, i am saying that some whitelabels like the $$ abit too much and can get greedy, i have seen it done and i dont want to risk it with this project. Thats not to say i dont use whitelabels but only for a relative domain that i am just parking with them until i can get to develop it.
I dont fancy using my first 3000 sign ups on a whitelabel then never knowing each of the users details to keep them mine, then getting banned at some random point in the future and having the rug pulled out from under our business.. We also have a nice amount of cash to throw into promotion further down the line this year too and if we get a huge response which we feel we are going to get then us not owning all of the users directly is dicing with death really.
As for say the first 1000 users.. They can be all test profiles if need be, some softwares have a start off 'beefing up' library of profiles to make it look busy.. As one real sign up person arrives delete a 'beefing up' profile..
Also inviting them for free will also help.. i know some dont like the fact of it being free then paying at a later date but our monthly fee will be pennies compared to most.. I havent came up with a price per month yet but look at it this way even if you were silly enough to charge just £15.00 per year to 1000 people then your at £15k per year already.
That webscribble may do the trick if i can customise it a little.. Its only $199 as well which is just around £124 for the software..
then an additional:
$40 for paypal gateway
Zip Code Locator only $50
Photo Rating only $50
Thats about $339 / £210 in total for set up..
can also have maybe : Live Chat at only $99.. but not really fussed over that..
thank you for your feedback all!
