Newb question - finding expired domains

Guess this is very obvious once you know, but i cant find the answer

How do you get your own list of expired domains? Have seen plenty of sites with lists of expired and daily drops, but how do people create these lists?

Generate random domains names and query nominet?
Published list of expiring domains by nominet?

No lists are published by Nominet......

So you've got to either use someone else's (such as on deleting.co.uk) or make your own (by doing lots of WHOISs on different words/sites/phrases/etc).

Guess i need to start writing my own app to find the domains i’m after – on the upside I can code and know a noimnet member/tag holder.
