Wanted: Domain Appraisal Newbie needs help!

Evening everyone,

Very new to all of this so here goes..........

I registered a domain a couple of years ago with the intention of setting up an online business but since then I've registered other names, with one inparticular that I use the most.
My original domain is up for renewal next month, but this evening, I received a message on my answerphone from a lady saying she was very interested in my domain and noticed it was up for renewal and wondered if I would be renewing it or selling it, if so she may be interested.
This has spooked me a bit to be honest! Is that normal? (The phonecall, not me being spooked!) Could that be a genuine interest?
The domain is hiphiphooray.co.uk
If genuine, what price to domains go for, I haven't a clue!!!!!

Nice domain, £750? and yes if people can find you before a domain drops they'll contact you.

I am guessing its this lot:

www.hiphiphooray.com

trying to get the .co.uk version of their site.

If its the case that they are the company above its understandable why they want the domain enough to contact you in advance.

If it was me I would say I want a few grand and work from there.

Oh well, it was a nice pipe dream while it lasted.
The lady stated she was interested in this name for a new company she was starting up selling balloons and as she was new, would only pay £50/60 - thought I'd keep hold of it.
