Anyone watch Newsnight last night? Not Newsnight - Question Time
I don't like George Galloway, and can't stand Alistair Campbell but watching this clip, who do you believe?
Resolution 1441 that AC refers to sites the presence of WMD. What he's saying here is that the war was legal because of their belief that there were WMDs. But there weren't. They didn't have solid evidence of them - they can't have done, because they didn't exist.
So stating that the war was legal on the grounds of contravening Resolution 1441 is bollocks because it wasn't contravened. Therefore the war was illegal. The way that AC is speaking is trying to fudge the issue. He doesn't say what Resolution 1441 refers to, just tries to pass it off as something that matters - it doesn't.
Here endeth todays rant.
