Awoke this morning with a reply from an end user I contacted recently accepting to buy a name and no haggling over the price either! a nice quick hassle free £500

e\v\a\p\o\u\r co/uk

Congrats Wayne! :)

Very nice

I just completed an end user sale this morning myself, so cheers to us :)

I'm afraid unless you start a thread and tell us the price it's not newsworthy.

Thanks,
Invincible

Congrats chaps. Any chance you could share your end user approach email template here or pm me a copy? I have a couple of domains I want to try an sell but I'm a bit sure how to approach the potential end users.

I keep it very simple basically just my name, say i am looking to sell xxxxxx.co.uk as i no longer have a need for it or I was going to develop it but no longer have the time.
Either with a fixed price or i will consider all offers.
Its been a good little bonus lately because you can also throw in the .uk story as well.

I used to send a more professional looking Email with loads of dribble but get better results just keeping it quick & simple.

And there goes another sale for £499 through Sedo on a .org.uk with a hyphen in the middle :D

There is also a good chance this is due to me emailing end users, and i think i know who the buyer is, will have to wait and see.

This is my favourite domain selling quote, from Rick Schwartz

“My job was not to sell it for 15 years until that one [right buyer came along]. My job was to sit on the beach with my ginger ale and my piña colada and wait for that one guy because I could have gone all over earth and I wouldn’t have found the one guy. It was much easier for the one guy to find me.”

He is talking about the more premium domains though
