Hi all,

I was just wondering if anyone could help me with their experience with meeting compliance requirements when registering for a Self Managed Tag?

Is there a generic T&C's statement anyone could share?

Also, the way they word it implies that these compliance requirements must be in place before applying for the tag. However, surely there is no reason anyone would have such a statement on their site until having a tag?

Would be great to hear people's experience of this.

Cheers!

I think if you're on a self-managed tag there aren't many hoops to jump through. If you explain you won't be managing or selling domains for anyone else, then you don't have to have t&c pages, customer contact forms setup at all was my experience. You are allowed to have 5 associated names on your account once you do get it set up as well. It was actually pretty straightforward and Nominet were really helpful.

If that's what you meant ?

See that's what I assumed given the nature of a self managed tag, but when I came to filling in the form and it was asking for URLs etc... of where I had posted all the information I was a bit

Especially when somewhere on the form it said I would still need to do it as a self managed tag. Ok I will proceed that way and fingers crossed it will go through ok!

Do you remember roughly how long it took to process when you applied?

thanks again your help!

I think I made a point of saying on the application I had no intention of providing services for other people. Might be quicker just to call them. They are pretty helpful.

Once I'd got the application in it was only a few days I think.
