I agree. That was very much 'under the radar' I think.

The timing of it is interesting, when everyone is focused on other things/ away on holiday. It's like a 'bad news day' government press release scenario, and it isn't even on the 'Current News' feed on Nominet's home page.

Both picked up on that too guys. Release the news in Christmas Eve. Gives them enough time to come up with a nice clean explanation in the New Year! I don't imagine Nomsteer has anything extra perhaps? 'The Register' clearly have someones ear, top marks to them.

BTW, since when did Nominet stop the contents of their Digital Assets folder from being listed?
