I'm finally getting around to getting my own tag (should have done it ages ago if I'm honest, just kept putting it off) and had a couple of questions...

1. How long does the membership application take? I'm guessing they're manually reviewed based on the contents of the application form.

2. Once a TAG has been set up and you transfer domains into them, are the current nameservers retained or do they need to be re-entered? Just want to make sure we don't send our entire network out of action whilst moving them across!

The nameservers are retained.

Not sure about the time for applications, it's pretty quick from what I remember (a couple of days) but it's a bit more involved these days.

When I registered (about a year or two ago now) it took around 24 hours to approve the TAG, then an additional 24 hours for any other bits like DAC (depending if you are domain chasing or not). They do (or did) manually approve and I received a phone call to discuss my requirement for the tag.

Ah, good to know - I should probably answer my phone and not just ignore numbers I don't recognise for once then!

Not sure, I requested mine via the Online Services after membership was approved.

Just an update for anyone else curious about this - took less than 24 hours to have my membership approved, and the tag was approved overnight (applied in the evening, approved by 10am the next day).

Nice and quick!
