Good riddence as far as I'm concerned.

On TV and Radio tonight heard commentators say that this has been planned as the domain names sunonsunday.co.uk and thesunonsunday.co.uk we're registered a couple of days ago.

Looking at the whois looks more like speculative registrations by someone rather than News International.

Sky News mentions domain name (see bottom of article)

Totally agree, one horse dead, only The Sun to go.

There's only The Guardian with any backbone and standards these days.

agree 1000%

wish notw and sun etc had died through grassroots movement and people simply refusing to buy then the advertisers would have walked and went tits that way

this is best though as they will continue to get sued to f*ck for hacking and coulson will end up in dock along with others
cameron knew far more than he let on
also many police coverups and backhanders, they need investigating fully. its why they were wary to and backed out many times

tommy sheridan was stitched up like a kipper too and i felt police and notw were in collusion then
this will be very interesting to watch
coulson lied under oath, the very thing they jailed sheridan for
http://www.ft.com/cms/s/0/9de8f592-a8ca-11e0-b877-00144feabdc0.html#axzz1RSKawtdm

coulson is going down and i hope murdochs empire

the guardian are the only ones with any backbone and bollocks

this is a major can of worms too as innocent people will have been stitched up and guilty people may get off because of tampering or police actions and collusion
that scum filth that represented bellfield is now saying bellfield may get off because of hacking and wants your taxmoney for retrial!

also unrelated but to reiterate how rife police corruption is and how they are not bothered who is caught as long as they get someone
http://www.guardian.co.uk/uk/2011/jul/07/witnesses-bullied-police-murder
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-wales-14042058

this is one of MANY now gloves are off
have been saying this for years

think of all the major cases of recent years, murderers , rapists etc, where the police completely ballsed up or stitched up innocent people
hard to think of one where they didn't

We've done that here on Merseyside for 20 years, daily figures are down from 210,000/day to about 10,000/day. The Sun will never recover here. This video shows what people think of The Sun around here:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q26wgbOMBI4 (5 min 20 secs in)

And this one is perfect for the cause:

http://dontbuythesun.co.uk/site/

great to see people sticking by their guns. i respect that

i don't know why people buy the rag
it's like theyre on autopilot
i know people that buy it. friends, decent people and i say why are you buying that shit
the answer is always the same

the football, and fantasy football etc
they literally turn it over for the sport
just a comic to look at for 10 minutes while eating their sarnies

hopefully this notw thing will lead on to the sun going down
be a great day

ecause of hacking and wants your taxmoney for retrial!

Cameron? All this went on under the Labour government - they even held an inquiry into it in 2006...that went well...so well that all this stuff is just coming out now. Why not ask why all this didn't come out before? Blaming Cameron is crazy when it's during his leadership this stuff is coming out.

Labour initiated inquiries aren't worth a shit - Tony's cronies; Hutton; Falconer; it's a big joke. Sorry, not a joke - not when they've stripped billions from the UK tax payer and lead our troops into two bullshit wars.

totally agree Labour are scum for the two illegal wars and there many people from that fallen regime need bringing to court

however cameron needs calling out as coulson was his spin doctor
same way campbell was blairs

cameron has had a serious lapse of judgement making coulson his main man and must have known a lot of the stuff we're finding out now. if he didn't he's even more stupid than we first thought
plus coulson has been in court telling lie after lie under oath

coulson also up until now has only ever been into police custody as a witness never under caution, basically getting their story straight

same way all the labour criminals were only ever as witnesses never under caution, look at blair and what he got away with. so far...

there's so many dirty secrets and we need to get at the bottom of as many as possible. when the media and governement and police are corrupt. that is very difficult

if it's not bad enough the papers were hacking dead kids phones and familes of soldiers etc that have died, worse still is how did they get the phone numbers?
the police were given backhanders to supply

the corrupt police are our biggest worry and the all powerful murdoch dynasty that has totally penetrated governemnt and the police

plus cameron has just followed blairs lead getting involved in libya, and more to come

i think whats happening now will hopefully be the start of a great fightback by the British people. we need a grassroots revolution

There are fundamental differences though; Coulson resigned (was sacked?) as spin doctor when the depth of these allegations were brought into the open. Blair, Campbell and co simply closed ranks and got one of their cronies to 'investigate'. Take Mandelson - he kept getting the boot then coming back with a different title; he was even fielding questions meant for Gordon Brown...he was the bloody puppeteer.

My take on it, is that Cameron gave Coulson the boot once he found out what had really been going on. He (Cameron) can't be expected to know everything about everything that went on before he took power - especially when Labour were supposed to have got to the bottom of it.

Agree with the Libya take though.

There's no point speculating about these things, even the results of enquiries and court cases are part of the grand scheme of things. You'll only ever know what they want you to know

Which paper would you say gives a balanced view? I'm aware the BBC have a code of conduct, it would be great if they put together a newspaper!

Pound for pound, The Guardian is the best in my opinion. Nick Davies has been following the phone hacking story pretty much from the start, he's an award winning journalist, and knows how to play the long game, having stuck with this story for years. He was on ITN on Friday talking about this because he's seen as an authority on the subject.

Cameron could go, at some point in future imo

what Blair did and is doing is 100 times worse but neverless, see you later Dave

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/ukn...-Commissioner-over-phone-hacking-scandal.html

theres so many more serious things we know about and the scale of anger is nowhere close
strange

however a rout was a longtime coming and a general cleanup of gov and the press
so a very good thing imho
just got to be careful we don't censor the press with kneejerk legislation
just make sure they can't conduct illegal activities

again borderline as sometimes it is in publics interest to sail close to wind
not phone hacking as inexcusable but i mean investigative journalism sometimes has to be borderline. over even over the line
wikileaks perfect example. which is absolutely on the money imho and much needed by the public to expose the real scum
like the UK Gov under labour agreeing to hide U.S cluster bombs on UK territory, Diego Garcia
where are the heads and prosecutions for this?
seems is beyond the comprehension of much of the public. certainly the Sun readers. which is the most 'popular' daily rag :-?

Can't see it myself - Stephenson is having a go because unlike the previous PM who was happy to see the whole thing swept under the carpet (until now it seems...Captain Bandwagon or what!!??) which means he (Stephenson) was no longer going to be protected along with the rest. He had to jump before he was pushed.

The Guardian has forced the hand; paid to see everyones cards. I wonder why they didn't do so under Labour's watch.

finally
this prick should have been first to go
http://news.sky.com/skynews/Home/UK...John_Yates_Resigns_Over_Phone-Hacking_Scandal

so he's resigned?
he better not get a full pension and golden handshake, we'll have to see details of that

he spent 'a few hours' assessing it and decided last time not enough evidence!
this prick is one dodgy individual

"Mr Yates's resignation came after he was informed he would be suspended pending an inquiry into his relationship with Mr Wallis.

Mr Yates had been confronted with new information about the friendship between the two men, sources told BBC political editor Nick Robinson."

so what, he resigns and they don't pursue the investigation into him?
get him down the nick, now he's a civilian :D
it must be pretty incriminating what they have on him, otherwise he would have taken full pay while being suspended

Being replaced by 'Cressida Dick'....sounds like something you'd pick up on a sex tour of West Africa.
