I saw an interview on the bbc news website with the guy that designed the coin, when asked to explain the offside rule he fecked up
We all know what the rule is, but trying to explain it is a nightmare. Must be a bit like how to turn the oven on, I know I own an oven, but it has only ever been operated by a female, and when she explains to me how it works it sounds like nonsense

Try explaining to a woman that a 50p is in fact round (an equilateral curve heptagon), and they'll be more flummoxed by that than the offside rule!
