Wanted: Domain Appraisal [oneword].com

Not sure if this is the correct forum, but here goes...

I've found a word domain that hasn't been registered yet. It's one word (9 letters), it's in the dictionary, has a meaning that's quite common...

It's a .com domain.

I'm guessing it's difficult to give an appraisal without me saying the domain name, but for obvious reasons I can't do that haha.

Worth the registration fee?

if its expired or in redemption, some crappy registrars will show as available even though it won't be
so check a good whois

if it had any value and was a real word etc it wouldn't be available
tens of thousands of people constantly scouring lists and machines too

plus if $8 is a 'risk'
give up domaining now

get it regged if available, then come back and tell us

If it's a first domain I wouldn't bother with a really uncommon 9 letter one worder.

That sums it up - your time analysing should have been worth more than that to start with.

I do understand those trying to start out with pocket-money. But, if that's current situation, revisit domain investing when it isn't

There are loads of dictionary words that aren't worth a fig.
