Does anyone have any information on e-commerce trends for the last decade or so.

Looking for general information not necessarily niche specific. More how the e-commerce marketplace has fared over the last 10yrs, how much it's worth, share vs high-street, etc.

Writing a business plan for an e-commerce only site so this would be a general section condensed into a couple of paragraphs tops.

There's probably lots or reports and I think Nominet have some info as well, so a few links appreciated.

Not so much a generalized report but using:
http://www.google.com/trends/

can tell you a lot about various industries. For instance, enter a term like web hosting or domain reselling to see interesting results.
