the .co.uk domain name I want has gone. For a UK company looking to sell to Uk customers, which is the next best bet for SEO purposes:

keyword.info
keyword.org
keyword.org.uk

Are any of these as good as a .co.uk for seo puropses??

Would appreciate any feedback before contacting customer.

Many thanks all. Will pass feedback back to customer.

go for .org.uk but you also want .org to redirect to .org.uk forget about .info

Yes but SEO is just part of the story.

Ranking highly in the search engines is one thing, but getting customers to click through is another. In my opinion, something like eCoffee.co.uk for a coffee retailer site is better than coffee.org.uk , even for the UK market. I would say, from a SEO point of view go for the .org.uk - but interms of building a business, a short brandable memorable .com or .co.uk should not be ruled out.

If those are the only three options, then I'd definitely go with .org.uk . .info and .org don't have any UK advantage. If yu're only or primarily trying to appeal t a uk Market then org.uk every time.

Personally, would much rather have the .org than the .org.uk. You can target the UK in Google Webmaster Tools and also by having hosting with a UK company. There are very few .orgs available where the .org.uk isn't available, so you may as well get both just in case.

In any case, should you ever need to sell the domain, the .org will have international value whereas the .org.uk will only ever be marketable to the UK.

Would you not buy them all but concentrate your SEO/Web presence on the .org.uk? for the cost of bagging them???
