Last year managed to work and move around South America for 3 months, would really like to do the something similar this year but maybe not move about so much. We moved on every 3 days or so, so productivity was a lot less than working at home but managed to keep things going with around 1 or 2 full days a week and then 2 hours a day on all other days.
If South America is an option for you then I'd definitely recommend it, found wifi everywhere (bar 2 guesthouses/hotels in the whole trip) and most places were uber cheap to stay/eat out etc.

I have just come back from three months in Tenerife.

Great out there sun shines everday and beer is cheap.

I actually think I know what I am going to do, It works out at around 2k for your own bungalow for 3 months, three months worth of training, 3 months worth of food and a one way flight - what a bargain! Train in the morning and work in the afternoon!

Anyone else in?!!

It is another reason to avoid creating a 'proper job' when developing sites.... ! If you cant run stuff from a pda/phone, its too complex.

Living abroad and travelling is fine with freedom. Start holding stock, regulated stuff with paperwork, offices, employees etc and its ties you may not think of.

Quite a few developers build sites that have alot of offline requirements, which imho, negates the freedom net stuff gives you.

Now I understand. I'm think/hope my properties are pretty strong free. I might be a bit restricted with one particular venture though so might need to put that on the back burner.
