I have a why parked name (uk-flights.co.uk) where the person clicked on the buy domain button to email me:-

require flights from leeds/bradford to luton 04/09/2009 retuning 07/09/2009.or alternatively from doncaster same dates. morning flights prefered.

Anyone had any similar bizarre things?

From Whypark:

"CAN YOU HELP WE FLY TO MURCIA ON 24/7 FOR 9 DAYS BUT THERE ARE NO HIRE CARS AVAILABLE ANYWHERE MANY THANKS TRISH"

I wasn't able to help unfortunately.

I was reading a post on DNF the other day where a woman bought something from a link on a parked page then kept harassing the domain owner for a refund :p

" tell me what i'mdoing wront or the shippment can not be done by the post office box in puerto rico.please send me yourphone number."

I had some guy phone me up wanting a refund on some car headlights he'd bought from a site that used the plural verion of the singular domain I owned. My domain was a landing page that linked through to the for sale page on my brokerage site, how he confused it with a car headlight shop is beyond me :)

I quite often get emails on a site where everything quite clearly links through to amazon. I soon learned that these emails were scammers that wanted to pay by paypal and would claim a refund after I posted the item.

On travel sites I sometimes get emails asking for help - either with complaints against tour operators or complicated stuff that can't be booked online.

From a parked namedrive page from a old bmx clubs website.

Comment: Are you aware, you have had a Ford County 4x4 Minibus Reg. No 0000000 parked near Lew Hoad Tennis Club in Fuengirola/Mijas (Malaga Province), Spain for over six months??

Couple of funny comments on a couple of my Adult names

Site 1 - ex massage parlour

'hi i went to sindrellas and as i was with one of your girls she farted and it stunk and put me off women for life'

Site 2 - ex glamour photographer

'do you travel abroad for making xxx productions?i'm from india. if you come india, indian girls can act in hardcore xxx films. pls reply soon.'

Loads more - should open a section on the forum with an award for the funniest comment of the day.

What about some of the messages that you receive from email catchall's? I have had some that make your hair stand on end!

I can probably claim the most emails from a new domain, it was previously a free mail service (I didn't know that when I regged it) and I received literally thousands of bounce back messages as soon as I added a catch-all active email host.

Needless to say my email server didn't stay up for very long before it fell over.
