How are the sales going for first names. I did a quick search and there
seems to be not many left. Is the market good for first names right now?

Nice, I just got a few. Has anyone found a thread for peoples names sold or even better, how do you know the value of a persons name?

With 24,900,000 Google results I am sure you will run into one. ;)

And no I don't have a chinese advisor.

Well, thanks. I really just wanted to see if anyone had seen any news on
peoples names being sold. I know I have seen some threads on other forums with people listing different types of domains sold.

Anyway thanks for the feedback.

Jessica.co.uk

Bought Jessica.co.uk recently...

Top 5 girls name for last few years or so.

As to value, I would be looking for 1.5-2k.

Elizabeth.co.uk - what a bargain that was!

I'm about to track down the owner right now... I wonder if my wife will appreciate her name as a domain for Christmas?

Elizabeth.co.uk rings a bell. Was that the same seller as tip.co.uk

What was his/her name??

Has to be a keeper, as domains gain more exposure in the world of the layman, its price can only soar.

Anyone with a well known name that has longevity here in the UK has to be a winner.

Using Jessica as an example, you only need one famous person named it to bring out a perfume or range of some sort, and the domain is a must have.

And, as is more likely, no-one famous needs it, what do you have? A first name. Big deal. Only someone with an ego big enough would really want to shell out four figures for a domain with no use apart from the fact its their name.

Am I wide of the mark?

there must be a big thing on names because i tried getting my daughters name and it had gone and then i tried it with her surname and it had gone, then i tried it with her middle name and it had also gone....

Thats very very unusual to have a full name including middle name taken!

Just unlucky I guess
