Nominet PGP / Enigmail

Is anyone using the enigmail plugin for thunderbird with the automaton? It looks like it's working fine but I'm getting this back:

V048 Signature did not match the text

I've tried most of their suggestions on the error pages which haven't helped.

Any ideas, greatly appreciated.

It is. I'm seting up a new laptop, so have backed up / restored my thunderbird settings etc. from my PC onto the new laptop. PGP works fine on the PC (using pgp 8.1).

Baffled!!!

Odd, most times I've seen that error message the fact it isn't plain text is the problem.

I don't use Enigmail, so this is a stab in the dark, but in the settings for it, see if PGP/MIME is an option and if so turn it off if it isn't already.

It's an option but it's already turned off.......things were going so smoothly...............

Basically something is changing the e-mail after it has been signed in some minor way or some kind of formatting is being applied to the e-mail.

I have seen this error before with OpenPGP when it wasn't using a v3 signature generator.

In the settings, see if you can set it to use a v3 signature via an option, or if there is a box for passing additional arguments to GnuPG. If there is try adding "--force-v3-sigs" (without the quotes).
