If I search on Google only one AdWords ad comes up for the term.
I don't feel that "portal" is that commercial a phrase, and whilst there are lots of portals out there, the domain portal.org.uk is non-specific and won't necessarily help with marketing.

I think your best bet would be to market it to those offering a portal software solution. I think a sale to them in the late hundreds would be good.
